After Thought from Jeannie Englert - 1984 Clarinet line.
To all who joined us in celebrating our "truly" first ever band reunion thank you so much.. and for those who did not get the opportunity maybe we will see you next time. I hope everyone enjoyed their selves. Please post any ideas you would like for any upcoming events. I think we unanimously voted to have a Alumni Pep band for homecoming and a Alumni night during basketball season. And also hope to have a "community Alumni Band". If you came to the reunion with doubts about being in the Alumni Band please re-think that for next time. I cannot express what joy it was being directed by Mr. Colvett. I think we surprised him. And also having a blast from the past playing the "Ole tunes". I would like to thank again Mr. Colvett for everything he has done. He truly has the personality and the class to go above and beyond any competition that this organization has seen. He and Mr. Peyton fit securely in the Best of the Best Band Directors in Marshall Co. History. I tip my Clarinet to them, and look forward to working with them and watching them compete on the field in the future. There are several people I know who could not make it to the reunion no matter how hard they tried. Scott Lazzaro was one of them but, we managed to bring a little back to him by waking him up from the cell phone and letting a few people talk to him from the Majestic. We love ya Scott, and missed you!. Thank you all who helped bring this to reality. Thanks to Nick Darnell for listening to me "vent" when Wendy was working. Nick endured allot..:) Wendy, what can I say. you know how I feel. (pull the tissue out). Thanks to John and Tracey again... Tracey endured allot.!! :) Everyone else on the committee.. I love you and thank you so much for all your help. Yes it was a lot of work. but, "it was no step for steppers". the most rewarding moment for me was unloading my car with donuts and I hear " excuse me ma'm" "do you know where the band is setting up" and as I turned slowly with my mouth wide open (as it usually is) there stood "Fish" the joy that brought to my heart, and others as well meeting up with their best of buddies was well worth all the efforts. I enjoyed seeing everyone's face when they met up with their old buddies. I also want to thank everyone for coming out Sunday and helping with clean up. that was very much appreciated. One last thing... does anyone out there know why this reunion was so successful?.......answer: Because we were always ONE... ONE team... ONE Band... and yes ONE Sound. That is why we were and continue to be the Best because we are a great team and we accept each other as ONE. Peace and love to you all and I look forward to our next event.

After Thought from John York - 1984 trumpet line
To all of you fellow alumni who made this event what it was ...thank you! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives and traveling all the way back to the place we started our life goals. Your support in this venture to create a new association and have a first annual reunion made it what it was...a total BLAST! I had the best time seeing all my old friends ...even the drum line guys...ha. I know I’ve not changed one bit (besides a few pounds ...ok 40) but all of you...well let’s say I’m glad we had name tags. :-) Dale Roberts...you have not aged one day man...what is your secret?
My Thanks: Big thanks to Jeannie for managing to keep her sanity to pull this huge event off. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful!!! I know she had lots of help...and I thank them too. Most of all I thank my wife Tracey for putting up with me working on the computer ALL night every night. Thanks also to Jeannie’s husband Jim for letting her do the same and putting up with everyone calling her “Jeannie Allen” again. I’m glad I got to meet you Jim you’re a great guy...Jeannie did well. I’m so glad all the former directors worked their schedules out to come back and visit and tell stories about their time creating the program that we so cherished. Special thank you to Mr. Colvett. I had a blast as I know you did in the first alumni band. I wish I lived up there still to join your community band when you can get that going. I thank all of you who said encouraging words to me about my work with this website. It started as a place to just list the dates for the event and wound up being a little larger than that...almost 300 web pages and will be larger once I start getting all the new photo’s from the events. Thank you, it meant a lot. Can I go to bed now at a decent hour?
Note: All those people who so kindly sent all the photos to post on the web...thank you. I have almost 200 more sitting waiting to be posted from just before the event. Sorry I didn’t get those up in time. I’ll get them posted one way or the other.
more later..

Well....It is 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night. I've just come in from the reunion. What a weekend! We had so much fun catching up with old friends, admiring all the trophies we had won, buying the DVD set (still available!), rehearsing, and performing...YES, PERFORMING! We actually sounded pretty good! I don't have an exact count from this weekend. Maybe Wendy or Jeannie will post that information later. I do know we had a good crowd Friday night for the High School band's performances and an even larger crowd tonight. Mr. Colvett made the event fun for those of us who participated in the alumni band. He is hilarious! Thanks, Mr. Colvett! Although I have great memories from my time in band. I found that I spent time this weekend just catching up with friends and making new memories more than reliving the old ones. Perhaps Mr. Colvett will get that Community Band going and we can all get together a little more frequently! If you are interested, email me and I'll start a list and we'll see where it goes. The committee has not discussed when the next reunion will take place...my guess is at least three years...but that's just a guess. Anyway, it was great to see you all. It is amazing how everyone still looks the same! Have a safe trip home for those of you who traveled in for this. Hope to see you all again. Vicki Nix Boatright 1986 boatright@vci.net
P.S. Lee Mimms if you're out there...DON'T FORGET...VERY IMPORTANT...ALWAYS wear black shoes with black pants!

Hey everyone
Just got back from the reunion and want to say THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to organize the event! It was really amazing to see old friends and to relive the excitement.
I am currently teaching in the Communication Dpt. at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. My husband Chuck and I have been married for almost 16 years. We have two children - Trey(9) and Isabelle(7).
My email is abox@fhu.edu. I would LOVE to catch up with anyone who remembers me! After all, it has been 20 years.

Sorry I missed the reunion from Cindy Foster McArtor- Flute/piccolo clas of '76
WHERE ARE THE REST OF US ORIGINAL MARCHING MARSHALS? I think I counted entries from 5 or 6 of us who graduated in those first 3 years. I'd love to hear from any of you. My email is cindymcartor@mchsi.com
I heard what a GREAT turn-out there was for the reunion! I hope there are more reunions in the future!
I loved growing up in Marshall County and band was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of the high school years. Living away from Marshall County for almost 20 years, I never imagined my sons would one day be Marching Marshals! We moved to Benton in 1994, though, and our sons- Ian- class of 2006 and Cory- class 2007 are in that very fun group of guys (plus one very shy, intimidated girl) who liven the band with their trombones.
While I live within walking distance of the school, I was very sad to have to miss the reunion. I have this truly wonderful occupation- meeting and welcoming future world leaders to the USA (current International Students at Murray State), helping them find direction, discern and learn truth and working to equip them to change the world for the better. In other words, I'm on staff with a Christian ministry to students and faculty- InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. I specifically serve International Students. My work led me to New Orleans last week with my a Geman student, an Indian student and my younger son. We worked all week encouraging very tired and lonely folk in that devastated city, gutting houses and learning how the Lord Jesus Christ came to seek out and give relief to those who need it most. The reunion was almost, if not completely, over by the time I got home last night and relieved my aching muscles with a much needed bath. (In New Orleans we stayed in a homeless-shelter-turned relief-worker-shelter with military bunker-style accomodations).
I still play flute pretty regularly! I worship at First Baptist of Benton, where Mr. George Milam directs an instrumental ensemble. What fun it is to make music with a group that includes my sons and my husband- a tuba player! Instrumental music and the precision of marching band remind me of the Body of Christ- individually our efforts may seem small and insignificant, but together we can show the world the love and hope Jesus offers for the whole world!
Joyfully, Cindy Foster McArtor- class of '76

After-Thought from Lewis Egner, Trombone, 1981
First of all, I would like to sincerely thank all of you who put this reunion together. It was a truly AWESOME event. When I first heard from Jeannie about a reunion, I had no idea it would turn into two nights of wonderful entertainment and many hours reminiscing about our younger years.
The memories that came flowing back when I met up with my old classmates were overwhelming. Band was such a huge part of our lives, and I don't think you quite realize the impact that it has on you until your days at MCHS are over.
I want to give a heartfelt thanks to the former band directors that attended. Mr. P., Mr. Robertson, you guys have meant so much to me, as well as Mr. Wayland (it was so nice to have Mrs. Wayland there). Man, I didn't realize you guys were so young (you seemed old to me at the time)!
To all my old friends, I can't wait 'til the next one. I'll definitely see you there again!
My email address is legner@fuse.net. If any of you are ever in Cincinnati, drop me a line.
For those of you who missed the event, you missed the time of your life!

Jeannie and to all of the Committee members that done such a great job!!!,
I want to say thanks for a weekend I won't forget. To Mr Colvett and staff, what a great job you've done for this 1st Reunion and what a great bunch of kids you have. What great music they made. I'm so proud of them. I wish I was back in school so that I could be there with them. Count me in for the Pep Band!!!!!! and the Community Band as well. To see all of my friends again and experience playing music, then watching the video, I was moved. It felt like I was in a scene from Mr. Holland's Opus. Band was a big part in my life, The friendships were bigger!!!! I miss you guys already, when is the next reunion???LOL
Let's stay in touch.
Best wishes,

Wow! What a weekend! This was so way above & beyond what I ever dreamed it was going to be. The turn out was incredible. All of the performances were absolutely fantastic. Yes, even the alumni band sounded great. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard putting this together. And a special thanks to all of you who had to make long drives or flights to be here. Without everyone’s extra effort it wouldn't have been the best reunion ever. And that's exactly what it was. Last weekend was like one big band trip all over again. Just getting to see & hang out with everyone felt just like being in band once again. Then Sunday morning knowing that it was over, and we wouldn't be getting together brought a sadness that I haven't felt since graduation. I have deeply missed all of you over the years. Thought about everyone quite often. Always wishing those times could have lasted year after year. Now with this getting started maybe it will. When I get the list of everyone’s e-mails & addresses I am going to make it a priority to sit down & send everyone a letter. I hope you all will do the same. I would love to hear from all of you. Lets keep this going & growing over the years to come, and help make band as special to our children as it was to us. I hope to see all of you again very soon.

Post-Reunion Comment
"A Dream Come True!"...That is all I can say about the reunion. I had so much fun playing those pep band songs, again. Best of all, my son, a second generation Marching Marshal sat right beside me. Playing trumpet together at home is a great time, but together as "Marshals", was truly amazing! We have always been "band fanatics". We eat, sleep and breathe Drum Corp International (DCI). DCI event tickets are like concert tickets for us, no pop stars, just stellar performances. We even listen to band music in the car, which makes our friends and family crazy; But, I realized this weekend that, we are not alone. This craziness that Evan and I have shared is a common thread for those of us who have participated in this great organization. Band means so much to all of us who have fought to keep it alive for ourselves and best of all for the future "Marshals". We know where the program has been...Friday night, we saw where it is going...the tradition of excellence will continue! The M.M.A.A. is greatly appreciated and long overdue. Evan and I have sent our checks and I encourage all former band members, here and abroad to join. I hope that it enjoys great success! Reunion means reunited-I hope that we stay united...not just from reunion to reunion, but day-to-day...just like we used to be! "Nobody Does It Better" was the name of my sophpomore band show...to all of you who planned and executed this event, the shows name applies to you-Congratulations, you are Grand Champions!

WOW! What an incredible weekend! I have to say I think that was the most fun I have had in a long time. Watching my own children grow up in band has always left me reminiscing about the great times I had in the high school band. To actually go back and live it at this age was great. My kids thought I was crazy for wanting to play my clarinet again. My husband enjoyed meeting so many of you and seeing the environment where I grew up (he’s from Oregon and they do things a bit different there). He has a difficult time believing that I was once quiet and shy definitely not me anymore! Our home is always open to visitors, so if you are in the Henderson, KY area (we may be moving to Frankfort soon), stop by and see us. One of my favorite things to do is send Christmas Card Newsletters. If you would like to receive one (Cindy Frensley Hyatt says she loves them), e-mail me your address and I’ll put you on the list.
Hope to see ya’ll soon,

WOW!!!! Was that fun or what????? I want to thank Jeannie, John, & big brother Brad for all of your work on this reunion. I know the hours put in was a labor of love....It sure made it worth it...Everyone is asking about the picture dvd that Brad put together...people are wanting copies...I will talk to Brad, and the MMAA and see what we can do...Keep posted on the Website... I'd also like to thank all of the committee that worked so hard putting this together...Jackie Conn, Tiffany Collins, Robin Davidson, Vicki Boatright, Dava Flood, Bryan Darnall, Kevin Farley, Kim Brindley, Debbie Johnson, Gavin Thompson, and most of all Mr. Colvett. I'm sure if he hears "I NEED" one more time from me.....well, you know.....A big personal thankyou also to Brent Evans & the Heritage Bank in Calvert City. On a personal note...it was so wonderful to see Jorie, Karen, Yvonne, Cynthia(got it right), & Monte again. I'm so glad you guys came home for this. It made it all the more special for me. It was all worth the effort when we heard all the squeals, laughter, tears, & watched all the hugs going round. One of the biggest highlights for me was "marching in" to our drum cadence and everyone standing & screaming....gave you those goosebumps all over again...The alumni band sounded fairly good also...I think we surprised Mr. Colvett...I think he thought B flat was going to be a challenge for us.....It was so great to hear all of the band directors speak, and get hugs from Mr. P. I have enjoyed working with Mr. Milam getting this reunion off the ground....He is one special man. Thank you for all your efforts for the Alumni Assoc. We still have work to do...We would like to give a Scholarship....and help the current band in any way we can...I appreciate all who joined the MMAA this past weekend..... my current guess is that we made about $2000 for the Band. I'm so proud of our first effort to benefit the band. Hopefully, this is the first of many events for our Band. So many old memories shared this past weekend.....so many new ones made.....We couldn't have done it without all of you that came...It was truly one of the best times I have ever had.....

Thank you, to All involved with putting the reunion together, this was a dream come true for me ... This was my personal Hall of Fame induction. I remember when I was a kid, back in the early '80s, I grew up about 2 miles from the highschool. I used to listen to the drumline back then practicing and performing from the highschool. I could hear those basses clear as day and would be outside beating on an old icecream bucket, or whatever was handy dreaming of 1 day being one of those people putting those rhythms in my head lol.. You guys could throw a pregnant woman in the stands into labor just snapping to attention lol. Even though I spent my years in the Marshall County drumline I didn't fully grasp that I was one of them until Saturday playing side by side with my childhood heros, and then later hearing a kid say "He's an awesome drummer, I saw him lastnight", and he was now pointing at me and asking when he could start learning to play the drums... that was the ultimate compliment. We don't always realize we influence others out there, but we do. I now live in the house that belonged to my Grandparents back then, and sadly I can't hear the drums anymore, the band is smaller now (more technical) but smaller. We need to make sure others have the chances we had back when we were growing up. The M.M.A.A. has my full support as I now have 2 nieces in the music program now... JoAnna Plays flute at North Marshall (took after her Mom), and Wendy is first chair drumline at Benton (throws chest out proudly lol) I told Jeannie the other night anything I can do to help I would be glad to do so. I work a rotating 12 hour swing shift schedule where I work, but anytime I am off I would love to attend the meetings, and help make sure that other children and nieces and nephews out there have the opportunities in life that we did growing up. Once again thanks to the planners of this event, and to Mr. Colvett for making a childhood dream come true.

Sharon Smith Wiseman & Karen Smith Porter - Class of 1980 ~~~~~~~~
Wow! We have never seen so many smiling happy faces congregated in one place! Hats off to all board members, alumni, Mr. Colvett, and current band members for planning and pulling off one of the most successful events in Marshall County High School history.
The weekend defined the word fun from start to finish, and we're still humming "Horse," "Badest Band," and "Manhatten Spiritual." So many wonderful memories were shared and friendships renewed because of the wonderful turnout for the reunion.
You couldn't have chosen a better emcee for the evening than Gavin, and all speakers touched the hearts of band members from their specific time periods. We had no intentions of playing in the band but are so glad that we did because it was so great finding out that we could still read music, keep time (sort of), and play (a little). Except for the young ones, though, we were all on the same page!
Thanks for a weekend we'll never forget. We look forward to the next reunion.

I would like to echo what everyone else has said: The reunion was great fun, and I want to thank Jeannie and everyone who helped. Thank you for including all of us "old-timers"! Billy was very disappointed that he couldn't make it--had to work ): Thank you to everyone who asked about him. Note to Sherry (English), drumline, Class of '79: If you read this, e-mail me. I heard you were there, but never found you. Would have loved to have seen you, since you haven't been at any of our class reunions. Thank you, John, for the great job you're doing on the website! It's so fun to read everyone's messages and look thru all the pictures. We may send some in ourselves one of these days, but it sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy. I think there are several of us now living in and around Nashville. Maybe we should all have a reunion down here. Looking forward to the next one already! Wish we lived back there so we could be more involved.

Afterthought...
I want to express my personal thanks to the MMAA. This past weekend was the most fun I have had in a VERY VERY long time. Even though there were only 4 from my graduating class of 1988, I saw many faces from years ahead of me and behind me and I was thrilled to see each and every one! There were several people I truly missed but I wont lay the guilt trip on them by posting their names, I believe they each know who they are! LOL!!! Maybe they can make it next time!
To see my brother, David Clem, reunited with his old gang brought back many painful memories of my past! HA!! I can still hear them coming in the house, laughing their loud and annoying laughs, Gosh, those were the good old days!! HA!!! No seriously, it was great, Dave hadn't been back to MC in 16 years. I know he was thrilled to see his old buddies!!
Jeannie Jo, Buzzy, Jamie & Tim, thanks for coming by the house on Thursday night to visit with Mom and David, that meant so much to me and I know to them. They had a WONDERFUL time!!!!
Our current Marshals are a very talented bunch, and they are truly great kids. I have had the good fortune of being able to go with them on some trips and they are well behaved and truly leave a good impression on all they meet. My daughter is, as Debbie Morrison stated, "a second generation Marshal", although she can play a trumpet, she is in the guard, and I have enjoyed watching her and her fellow classmates enjoy and sometimes fuss about band! LOL!
Again, it was great to see everyone, until next time.....
Debbie Clem Proctor, 88, Flute
P.S. Barry, Jason, Wendy... remember it isn't the quantity, but the quality of those there!!! Thanks for the photo op!! I'll be sending one your way!!

One last thought...As I was driving home on Sun., I was coming through Bristol Tn., just as the NASCAR pre-race ceremonies were happening. We were flying in the MMF, at the reunion, with out our friend Joey. He died serving his country, he was a good friend, patriot, soldier ,and band member, and was the catylist that got all of this going. He was there in spirit, and was missed ,and for those of you who didn't know him...I wish you could have!!!! Gonna go for now..Lets all keep in touch...( Lifes too short and we ARE getting older...LOL!!!) Til next time,......

Wow!
This was one of the most enriching experiences of my life and I truly appreciate the unseen efforts of those that put this together. I suggest that the Alumni Associate do this sort of event every four years. This will mean that each high school student will get to participate with the Alumni association at least once while being in High School; this will help promote the organization and every four years is about right to pull this off.
I am still not convinced that Chubby Lew was at the reunion, but that he trained someone to stand in for him.
Col.Moose@Gmail.com I wanted to have Moose@gmail.com but I had to have 6 letters and they would not listen to reason.
Cheers.....

What a fun time it was. All the people, all the pictures, all the trophies!! Mike was a wonderful host. The music program at M.C.H.S. is better than ever. I am very privileged to have been in the first ever jazz band at Marshall County. It was great to hear how incredible they are now! Ronnie is doing great things with them. I've known Ronnie for many years, and I am very proud of what he has accomplished there. Not to mention the facilities! I can't imagine what dreams I might have had starting off on a stage like that! Everyone in that program has no real comparison to what all of us had. And some of the older alumni didn't even have what I had! Shocking.
I was disappointed to see that so few of my generation had turned up. I spent the majority of the time hanging out with my sister, just so it seemed like we knew someone. However, I have to give a huge high five to Gavin. He seemed to have bridged the gap between the '80's and '90'. Not to mention a sense of humor that gave his public speaking skills 4 out of 5 stars. Not that I am the "bar" which everyone else has to rise, but I know the difference between someone trying to be funny, and someone who just speaks with good timing. Gavin -- thank you so much for being there. It was almost "5150" time! To everyone else who doesn't know me, it was nice almost meeting you. See ya next time, Drew www.murr-vegas.com

After Thought from Cynthia Palormo - 1980-83 Clarinet Section
My congratulations to the organizers of the Marching Marshals Band Reunion. It was truly a grand event.
I had such a good time catching up with my friends from the Class of 83' and band-mates from surrounding years. I was so impressed by the current band and what a great performing arts center!
Currently I am halfway around the world again prepping for the tenth season of The Amazing Race. And on that note, since several of you had asked, I'd like to invite everyone to watch the show I produced in Greece which airs on CBS, Wednesday, April 12th, at 7:00 or 8:00 PM, depending on your particular time zone. The next show that I produced will air in early May, but for specific information you can contact my father, Brian, at FilmSearch@aol.com.

Band Reunion Afterthoughts
Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in creating this experience! To those alumni who could not attend, I encourage you to do so next time. What this reunion had over a "class reunion" was a shared passion that superceded ego (though there was plenty of that too! :) The reunion weekend was everything I had anticipated and more. I was honored to share time with the adult versions of my fellow band-mates. Unlike a class reunion where everyone is pretty much sizing up how everyone else turned out, (counting kids, marriages, job titles, etc.), this gathering hosted people interested in the who we have become based on our shared experience as a Marshall County Marching Marshall. I heard many refer to the "family" atmosphere they felt in high school, much talk about the values they learned, and quiet gratefullness to the band directors who "made the difference". For me, being in the Mr. Martin era band is one of the "roots that gave me wings" - a life experience that cannot be repeated, a foundation for how I interact with humankind everyday.
On a lighter note... how fun to play again! We did surprise everyone as the majority of the alumni band hadn't touched thier instrument in over a decade (or two). We rocked! (or at least, we did not offend many ears!) I was so pleased to see and hear the very talented young men and women in the current band, and only a bit disappointed that our uniforms have been retired, and the color guard has shed the orange sequined suspenders for a more modern beige attire.
To anyone from the 1987-1990 band who wished to re-connect, please email me. I am not a fantastic pen-pal, but I do reply well. Also, my folks still live in the same house, and we are home several times a year for weekend visits.
One more thanks to everyone from all the bands who participated in this reunion. I am again, so proud to come from this program, and to be associated with such amazing individuals.

Okay Band Alums,
This must have been some party, because I had fun, and I only married into this group. Jeff Jones and I have been married 18 years, (Did I thank you Kim and Karen?) and I’ve heard all the stories and met a bunch of you all. As a matter of fact, as a band geek from out of state, we pretty much started covering the topic on our first date. Saturday’s festivities felt like date-night all over again. I finally got the chance to hear Jeff play, and we will have proof for our girls to see. We started keeping track when Sarah was at South Marshall Middle under Gavin’s tutelage, and we have enjoyed seeing Marshall perform at competitions since we have relocated to Ballard. You all are truly awesome--- past and present. I was lucky enough to see not only Jeff’s buddies, but some of my old friends too. I’m tickled everyone had such a positive experience coming together again---let’s all keep that up.
God bless,
Amy E. Jones

afterthoughts from a band reunion crasher
OK.....OK.....I admit it .....I crashed the Band reunion. I did it and I am so very glad I did. I will say in my defense I was coerced into doing it by old friends who actually were in Band. 1986 But it was great. I was amazed at the turn-out from so many years and watching my old friends get up and perform once again was just spellbinding. It really makes me wish I had some sort of musical talent now. I mean really, I do good to play a radio on a good day and the fact that everyone could pick up their instruments and play after so long just was simply incredible; even though, i thought that Duck (Tim Gray 1986) was going to pass out from the exertion of playing. Anyway, i wanted to thank you for the experience of witnessing what being a member of the band really meant to my friends and their parents and giving me a chance to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in far far to long. The MCHS band will have my support now and forever even though I now live and work in Nashville.
Thank you Mike Schott Anyone who wants to may contact me..... meschott@hotmail.com

Class of 1994 -Trumpet Line-
I am sorry that i could not attend this wonderful event. I really don't know what to say. Band was and always will be a part of my life. I am looking forward to the next reunion we have. I would like to take this opportunity however to thank each and everyone who made this possible. The Marching Marshall's has made impacts on not only us the students but to the state of Kentucky. I had the opportunity to have Steve Martin, Danny Davis, and George Milam for directors. I remeber Mike helping us out every year in band camp. He always helped with the trumpet line. Thanks Mike. This has all been a dream come true for not only me but others as well. I remember Mr. Martin told us all to give -em- L Marshalls. We all knew what that meant. Mr. Martin will always be remembered. Do you all remember one of the biggest rules we had on our trips? " Hey guys this is a band function, not a date." Oh there are so many memories. I could write all day. I would like to thank all of the directors past and present for there time and dedication to making the Marching Marshalls what they are today. God bless you all! I am looking forward to our next reunion. Take care! Wes Dixon -Trumpets 94-

I just stumbled upon this site and didn’t even know that this group existed (and I still live in Marshall County!). I’m bummed that I didn’t know about it earlier so that I could be a part of the reunion. Thank you for starting this group! I hope to be able to attend a future reunion.
I have so many great memories of my days in band. It was my whole life and meant EVERYTHING to me during my teenage years. Being in the Marching Marshals Band, taught me so many life lessons that I carry with my today such as commitment, hard work and pride. I, too, have such fond memories of George Milam (who started me out on my little cornet in the 6th grade), Danny Davis (who taught me freshmen year - and then my Junior and Senior year), and of Steve Martin - what can I say about him. Those that had the privilege of being under his direction knew how special he was. I also was privileged to work with Mike Colvet who used to work our band camps and drilled us!! So many memories and so many incredible band trips: Tournament of Roses Parade (Pasadena, CA), Bill Clinton’s Inauguration (Washington, DC), and King Kamehameha Parade (Hawaii)!!! I was the lucky group that got to take three big trips during their three years of marching!! Well, I could go on and on. I’m glad I found this group and anyone can feel free to e-mail me at:
